Mature
Everybody has a side to them that they don't want people to know about. For Hayley Summers it's her weak side. People know her for her independence and casual confidence, but it's just an act; inside she's breaking apart.
James McKenzie, Hayley's ex, is also known for his independence and confidence - but for all the wrong reasons. With his bad boy appearance and charmingly cocky attitude, people around him assume he's trouble, but deep down he's just as lost as Hayley.
Keeping each other in the dark broke them apart, and now they can't stand each other...which would be a whole lot easier if they didn't attend the same sixth form.
But after an end of term party, the distant ex couple are involved in a car crash together and end up in a coma. And, like the crash, they are in a coma together - experiencing it as helpless bystanders. With their secrets and emotions open to both of them to see, they uncover deep depths about one another that surprise them, while also struggling to heal and regain consciousness. The revealing coma could either bring them closer than ever before or...be the end of them completely.
