In penance for their uprising, each district shall offer up a male and female between the ages of 12 and 18 at a public "Reaping"
These tributes shall be delivered to the custody of the Capitol.
And then transferred to a public arena where they will Fight to the Death, until a lone victor remains.
Henceforth and forevermore, this pageant shall be known as,
The Hunger Games.

What would happen if Katniss hadn't won the games? Well the rebellion never happened and the games continued on. This year, it's time for the 4th quarter quell and the capitol has a big surprise for the districts. There will be three games. The first game will consists of district 1-6. 3 males and 3 females will be reaped from each district to participate. 12 of the 36 will move in to a final game. Then the second game will consist of district 7-12. 3 males and 3 females will also be reaped. Again 12 of the 36 will move on to a final game.
