Ratchet and Clank are back on Fastoon, about a year after the events in the game "Ratchet and Clank Future: A Crack In Time", and are studying the ruins and looking into lombax culture. They soon discover a research laboratory, containing an ancient portal which sends them careening into an alternate parallel dimension - a place where the normal conventions of behavior, morality, etc. are flipped on their heads, and history has played out somewhat differently.
