At the age of ten Freesia Stovkein's parents were brutally murdered in front of her by whom they worked for: Hydra. Raised by Hydra and trained by their top agents, she quickly became their best operative. Freesia followed all orders given without hesitation and finished her missions. But that all changed when Baron Wolfgang von Strucker and Dr. List gave her an offer she could not refuse. Forced to be an experiment and endure torture for science, Freesia's hidden anger toward Hydra reached its tipping point. She rebelled against the system that raised her, gave her a purpose, and taught her everything she knows. But, it is the same system that took away everything she had; her life, her family... and her sight. Her blindness did not deter her, though. With the help of the Maximoff twins and her scepter-given abilities, Freesia uses her "disability" to her advantage and becomes Hydra's worst fear: An Avenger.

Beaten. Experiment. Weapon. JYD2641 has never had a name. Only a number. She's never known the kind touch of parents, or the simple joy of having the sun warm her skin. Only the frigid lab with its doctors who were determined to turn her into the next Winter Soldier. She knew of the outside world, yet she could never participate in it. Not with what she was. Not with what she could do. Death was becoming familiar enough for her to no longer react to it. In one last act of rebellion, she grabbed her bonded and ran. Safety was a lie. It didn't exist for her, so she didn't expect it. Especially not in one Tony Stark. = = = Marvel Cinematic Universe. Book one of three
