You know that one kid that always sits in the back of the classroom, and never says a word to anyone? Blends effortlessly into the shadows, and seems dumb, because he doesn't talk? Well that kid may have a soft voice, but he has a really loud mind. --- As a fifteen year old boy with social anxiety, life is no cupcake for Cam Casey. He's always being bullied by other pupils, and ignored by his family. For most of his existance, he hasn't cared or thought about it much. But then one day, it hits him. No one cares. So distraught over his new discovery, Cam is desperate to find a way to express himself. His anxiety prevents him from speaking to people. What else is there to do? He feels like it's utterly hopeless, until he recieves an email from his english teacher, praising the short story he sent in for a school-wide contest. Writing, he discovered, was a venting tool. A way to get out all the things he thinks in his head. And suddenly, he can be heard.
