"I rubbed my eyes and sat up in my cotton-sheeted bed. Why didn’t my alarm go off? Though I did not miss the continuous drawl of my alarm clock, I couldn’t help but wonder about its absence, especially on a school morning. Then I started panicking. What if I’m late for school? Mrs. Peters would kill me! I glanced over at my bedside table to see if someone “accidentally” turned off my alarm. Then, I noticed a poorly scribbled note stuck to my dresser. It read: No school today. Bring Your Daughter to Work Day. Love, Dad. I scowled. My father, Eric Evertrue, owns a landscaping company called Evertrue Greens. I hate the company. My other friend’s dads are cool things, like doctors or teachers, yet my dad has to own a lawn company. Nothing could be more boring than watching my dad lecture his workers about the importance of shrubs." That's exactly what Jen Evertrue thought about her fathers company, but all that changes when she experiences the slightest romance. Read to find out the rest, and not to mention awesome details!

"Cool, lets go!" we jumped off his bed and ran towards his stairway, where he sat on his railing. "What are you doing?" I asked the crazy person. "Being cool," He jested just before he began to slide down his railing like a little kid. I just imagined him with a pair of shades covering his sea blue eyes, and pointing two finger shaped guns my way. Once he got to the bottom he jumped off to the side. "Your turn" He chirped to me. "Um..no I don't think so," "Come on! Don't be such a Debbie downer. I promise I will catch you," "This does not look safe" I pondered, moving slightly toward the railing. "It isn't," I widened my eyes. "Just do it, you will love it trust me," "Ugh, I think your crazy is rubbing off on me," I defeatedly stated. "Then you should be thanking me," That stupid smirk was back, and prominate through his handsome features. "And why is that," I asked quizzically. "Because crazy people live longer. Your welcome," I laughed harder than I should have to this before putting my butt on top of the railing and sliding down.
