SEQUEL TO SOMETHING GREATER THAN BLOOD
Rizza, now an awakened halfling, has returned to the Hunters Guild with Angelo to plan out their next move. With her nameless pursuer continuing his assault on her mind, she finds it hard to begin to distinguish between fantasy and reality. Angelo has kept true to his word and never leaves her side to bring her back after each attack.
She thought that after she had awakened and discovered who her real birth father was, the only mystery left would be the identity of her pursuer. She was wrong. A new threat is discovered when it is revealed that her memories had been tampered with by those closest to her. Her vampire mind's warning echoes in her head, making her question her trust anyone and everyone.
Since she woke up, Angelo has been attached to Rizza completely. Even though she had more power, she was entirely vulnerable to her pursuer. The assaults on her mind have been starting to affect her and even though she tries to hide it, he sees that he's barely keeping her sane.
Now that it's revealed that someone took memories from her, he secretly investigates to find the identity of the thief. All the while, Angelo helps Rizza control her new powers, strengths, and blood lust. As if that wasn't enough, someone from his past shows up to put a large wall between Rizza and him. With her current mental state and physical changes, that wall could mean the end of their love, the Hunter's Guild, and the fate of all vampires as the world knows it.
