Acelyn Shores has been unlucky her entire life, her sister died, her mother left, and then she was left to an abusive father. Although her past isn't the storyline here, it's the present. Since she was 5, she has gotten 'superpowers'. What she doesn't realise, is that she is receiving these powers every two years for a reason; she is one of Xerox's legend fighters, meaning that on her sixteenth birthday, she would fight to the death against four other teenagers of her own age, to the exact minute. Each with their different fighting styles and personalities.

In the end, what do you do when your closest friend betrays you? This is the story as they try to keep their biggest darkest secret of what they are capable of and as they discover they're not the only ones like them... I am not very good at trigger warnings before individual chapters but there is mention of blood, cold abuse and parents divorcing. (But read at your own risk in case I mention something else. Only, it's soon her that becomes the one lost to the drains. To survive she must rediscover her world, and in the process, rediscover herself. She will be reunited with old friends, gain new ones, find out deeper secrets about her past than she ever could have imagined, and learn that the world is even more corrupt than she always thought. *** This story contains sexist ideology, mention of cheating, some gruesome scenes, and a whole lot of monsters and darkness. It isn't overly mature... there isn't much explicit language or sexual scenes, but there is a bit of violence, so just keep that in mind... and despite all that negativity, ENJOY!Complete
