Edvard Munch's three paintings: Anxiety, Despair and The Scream. According to Edvard Munch, he describes his painting "The Scream" in this manner:
I was walking along the road with two friends - the sun was setting - suddenly the sky turned blood red - I paused, feeling exhausted, and leaned on the fence - there was blood and tongues of fire above the blue-black fjord and the city - my friends walked on, and I stood there trembling with anxiety - and I sensed an infinite scream passing through nature.

The Challenge:

Within the poem and your personal interpretation, write a short story entry for a story that fits the theme of the painting and the poem. The purpose of this is for the writer to concentrate on imagery and interpret paintings through stories.
