There's only one true danger in facing your ennemy: it's that you begin to understand him. You recognize the contractions in his face and watch him settle traps. You are familiar to them as if they were in your yard, and truly they are. So, you do pity him.
You can't spare him. Forgiveness is not of his nature, he didn't ask for the gesture. If spared, all compreehension you had with this creature will hunt you like a mad horse set loose in the night. Is it a safe trail of thought or is it the devil playing tricks to your mind?
