Arthur has just become king, he's very young and his mother is always there to help him. Merlin teaches him how to be wise. A war breaks out and Arthur recruits Lancelot to help him with the war; Arthur's eye falls upon Guinevere, whom happens to be acquainted with Lancelot very well. Lancelot, being his noble and chivalrous self, makes a decision that no man should ever have to make, but he does it out of love. {One-Shot} [This was a school assignment {yeah, we got to write fanfic at my school ha} and I decided to post it]

Originally gonna be a one shot, but ended up being too long for a one shot. Merlin returns to Camelot after Arthur dies and gets banished by Gwen. He goes to sit by the lake of Avalon to wait for Arthur. Eventually Arthur returns. Merlin is not immortal in this version, however he is still extremely powerful. This is about their life together. Hello! This is my Merlin fanfiction. Since I know I will never get over how Merlin ended, I made this in modern times to describe how Arthur comes back. I do not own any of these characters.
