Each poem is a branch on the tree of conflict. It grows under the strain of pain and suffering but is easily nourished with love and forgiveness.
Like the tree I stand tall among the destruction of the world.
Like the tree my mind is dark and tainted by the ashes of the fires that burn so bright.
Like the tree I withstand the tides as they change around me.
I am the tree, and as I burn I shall embrace the darkness of fire.

**Alone and hopeless... Is that everything there is to me? Do I not deserve the prospect of a change?
