Crimson Stanford is a pentecostal Christian who always does what she has to under her church, but inside she wants something more than the conventional. She meets the unique character Cyprus Bridgeton, the English exchange student. There is something about him that drives her near him.
He shows her a new way to think, a different world but ultimately what love really means and it's something that stumbles her than ever before. But is it even real?
