I lost someone dear to me in the midst of the Heroin Epidemic hitting MA in the last 3 years that spurred me to write The A Team. It is a reference to Ed Sheeran's song. This story was my grieving process. Without it, I'd be in a maelstrom of emotions that I wouldn't know what to do with. Also, my favorite band, Fall Out Boy, has a physical copy of this story. I gave it to them this past summer at a Meet & Greet in Mansfield, MA for the Boys of Zummer tour. I'd probably bawl my eyes out if I ever hear that they read it, but I don't want to hold out too much hope. They are my second form of coping with anything, and their music gave me the drive to even write the novella.

    Here's the description:

What does it mean to truly learn to love your life again? Rebellious, yet exceptionally intelligent, Eugenia "Janie" Cole, asks herself this every day. Its hard to do such a thing when life deals you a bad deck of cards. Addicted to pain killer, kicked out of her only home for abusing and stealing said pain killers, becoming homeless, and befriending a punk chick by the name of Nina Monroe; a music scene junkie who seems to be just as messed up as her. In the hidden back drop of Boston, Massachusetts, Janie goes in search of her spirituality through parties, drugs, and that one beautiful moment that will explain to her why darkness follows in her footsteps. Will she find it all on her own before her past comes back to haunt her?

For with God nothing shall be impossible. (Luke 1:37) ~~~~~ Jasper is a screwed up kid, yet no one cares enough to find out why. Bruises hide his arms and alcohol stains the walls of his house, but he pushes forward because it's the only thing left for him to do. His days are spent in and out of the school psychologist's office, while his nights are spent in fear of his father. His guitar and the secluded spot by the train tracks where he likes to play are the only saving graces in the hell that is his life. No one disrupted this normal routine until Callie came. Callie is far from screwed up; she doesn't have family issues and doesn't understand the first thing about Jasper's world. Her house is filled with answered prayers and smiles of people who love each other. Her arms are clear and her head is full of optimism that Jasper doesn't buy for a second. She never second guessed her sunny disposition on life until she stumbled upon a boy and his guitar down by the train tracks. Callie and Jasper weren't supposed to cross paths. She wasn't supposed to care and he wasn't supposed to let her get under his skin, but then again opposites weren't supposed to attract either. Callie saw the good in him where most people thought there was none ; she was captivated by Jasper because he made her question everything she knew about the world. She thought it would be easy to teach him that there was still good left in the world, that there was more beyond all the bad he'd become accustomed to. She thought fixing him would be easy, but nothing worthwhile is ever easy and sometimes it takes more than one girl's overly optimistic persistence to pull a person out of the hell they've been living in; sometimes it takes faith and realizing that some things can't be done without it... ~~~~~ -Highest Ranking: #8 in spiritual, 10/25/17 ; #1 in Christianity, 2019 -Wattpad Featured Novel: 10/19/17

To me, they mean only one thing. 'The truly beautiful part of life starts with July.' With Jay. It was my first tattoo, but I guess it's true what people always say, tattoos are addictive! I may not have gotten more than this one yet, but there is no doubt others will follow in the future. A future I only hope I won't have to spend alone. But Jay was at our concert tonight. She is alive and she's still here, in Manchester, in the same city I am currently in. And will be for another fifteen hours before the plane takes me back to London. That means I have fifteen hours to find her. Nate Fox is the face of the British rock band Devil's Entourage. Writing one heart-melting hit after the other, he could have every girl he wants. "I already killed your mother, Cam." As the words left my enemy's mouth like a mocking sneer, I growled under my breath at the mention of my old name. Memories started to boil up that I had been wanting to squash deep into my heart. Bad memories. "As you can guess, I'm here to finish the job." He continued with that ever-present sinister smirk on his face. And in that moment, a sudden burst of confidence just appeared within me. Or blatant stupidity. 'I'll take either one.' I silently admitted to myself. I rolled my eyes at his so-called 'threat', not really intimidated in the least. "Yeah, like that went so well the first time. The first time, you fucked up enough to get caught by the police." I pointed out. "The second time, your grown-ass men got their asses handed to them by two teenagers." I snorted at him. "Your odds aren't looking too good here, Berti." ~•~ Losing her father? Lovely. Getting in a car accident with her aunt, uncle, and cousin and being the sole survivor? Fantastic. Losing her mother because a deranged psychopath holds a grudge even better than The Grinch? Amazing. Being ostracized from her own family save from her paternal grandparents, and getting the blame for her mother's death? Cherry on top of the cake. Having to make sure three idiotic twats don't get themselves killed because they couldn't mind their own bloody business? Bloody hell, that's an entire ice cream cake with ten pounds of gummy bears. ~•~ Join Grace Stanton as she faces her demons and the demons of her past all while trying not to commit murder against her three new friends. This story sucks, don't read it! It's amazing how quickly your life can change. In a slow town like this, where nothing exciting ever happens, where nothing ever changes, one single moment can alter your life forever, for better, or for worse. Sometimes, we're lucky enough to be able to recognise these particular moments, and take a leap of faith, but, more times than not, they just happen without us even realizing what's going on until it's already too late. Tonight, a simple Saturday night, just like any other, would turn out to be one of the most defining moments of my life. Ace is living a slow life, knowing nothing other than drinking with his friends and the motorcycle club that raised him, waiting to reconnect with his father who has just been released from prison after a fifteen year sentence. Life is simple, though he thought. Until the night he meets Jenna, running from her haunting past and the man that she is desperately trying to escape. Ace is dead set on protecting Jenna, but, as she slowly learns to trust him enough to open up to, he finds himself landing in the middle of a human trafficking operation and a feud that goes way back, between the ringleader and his club. Suddenly, life doesn't seem so simple... Work in progress, especially the blurb! This story has content which may offend some readers. Mild coarse language! Physical and sexual violence! Lots of drug references! First draft! I don't own the cover image! I'm a disappointment to my family!

"You know people always say, God never makes mistakes but..." Ace begins, "You ever think of all the things God created, the high skies, the endless seas, the eternal gardens... You ever think of all the things he made, You were the one mistake that slipped through?" He tries his hardest to keep his voice monotone but his shaky demeanour gives him away "Ace..." "Like your life was written from the start for the purpose of destruction? Like you were made to be the villain to everyone else's hero?" He scoffs, not even being able to look me in the eyes. "People search this life forever, wondering what their reason to not give up is, what their motivation is. What their purpose in this scary world could possibly be-" His eyes finally find their way to mine. His rough hand taking its place on the soft spot of my cheek as his thumb rubs my jaw. "Eden, you are my purpose." ---------------------------- Eden is the perfect Church Girl in everyone else's eyes. her heart is set on only one thing and that is seeking God but little do they know her Masturbation addiction is the one thing that stops her from knowing God, that and the toxic love she has for the pastors son Ace Davis. CRINGE WARNING! First book I ever wrote on here!! -- "Sometimes the person who you are willing to take a bullet for is the person behind the gun." I stood peering over the cold lifeless body that lay before my eyes. I had always thought of death the enemy, but right now, I blessed it upon the person who is now at peace. Sometimes you don't need to be the smartest, or the fastest, but you do need to be wisest. They say the blood runs deeper than water, and I believe it, because even though the people that we love can turn on us and begin to hate us, they are only human, meaning that soon they will begin to see how short life really is and how it is not to be wasted. People who seem perfect and they look like they have no floors'; they are the people who are suffering, like I was. But I found my savior in the most uncommon place. He was able to look through my mask, he saw the cracks, and tried to fix the broken girl that hid away deep inside the girl who only wanted to be seen as 'fine'. I slowly began to find comfort and safety in him, and I did the same to him. We were two broken people becoming whole. Someone once said when you pass, if you can count your true friends on one hand you are beyond lucky, and I even though I did not like the person that lay before me, I know that he once had true friends, including me. I'm a 17 year old girl who has suffered more than any other, beginning to believe that 'Hope' was just another word the people throw around. Until I fell in love with a badboy. Wrote this at 15, First novel, don't judge. [Warning: this book contains explicit content, crude language, drug use & abusive scenarios.] He tried everything to forget her. But no matter how hard he fought, the memories wouldn't fade. She wasn't some dream girl, she was the one who taunted him on the playground. The blonde shattered his heart like glass on concrete. But picking up the pieces? That's the part he never saw coming. Ace Valentino doesn't do what people expect-he's the guy who walks on the wild side. A brooding bad boy with a dark side fueled by brokenness, addiction, and bad decisions. His heart is still held hostage by his cold, adrenaline-obsessed ex. Moving on? That's a joke. So, he drowns the pain with alcohol and anything that numbs him. But Ace has secrets, ones he vowed to bury forever. Then, his new neighbor moves in and suddenly, something inside him stirs-something he's not ready for, and everything he's terrified of. Willow Andrews, sweet yet scarred, knows nothing but loneliness. Her guardian's abuse has built walls around her heart. Love is a stranger to her, and she's afraid of what she doesn't understand. But something about Ace, the tortured soul next door, draws her in-despite the fear. In a world where love is something they can't quite reach, Ace and Willow collide. It's not about romance, but healing. Can they save each other, or will their pasts break them before they have a chance? The line between magic and misery is thinner than they think-and the change they both desperately need might just be the thing that destroys them, or sets them free.
