This book is about a little girl named Piper. She gets kidnapped at 10 years old and doesn't return home untill she is 17. She misses home really badly. Although through out the years she slowly forgets her family. She of course tries to escape, but tries to make the kidnapper look like she isn't trying to. The kidnapper always wears a mask over his face, so that she doesn't escape knowing what the killer looks like. (She obviously tries but fails). He doesn't know that she is trying to escape. The kidnapper celebrates holidays and her birthday, which she thinks its kind of creepy, but she will find away to get out.

The exit door lead to the back of the building so it was pitch black. I leaned against the wall trying to control myself. Blood was running down my arm and head. My hair was stuck to my face from all the sweat and blood. Everything was spinning around me and the ground seemed like it was shaking. Groaning I sat down and put my head on my knees. He knows who I am. He knows how I look like. He knows where I work so possible knows where I live. I am not safe anymore... no where. While I was in my own world I heard faint sounds behind me but I didn't bother to look or run away. The footsteps got closer and I was pretty sure it was Walker's men. I should run. I should try to fight. But what's the point in trying to run away? He would eventually find me and if he has his way he would most likely kill me. If this is my fate then why am I trying to fight it? I felt someone harshly grab my waist and pull me up and I complied. They dragged me down the alley and into the busy street. The Adjudicator cared little for the customs and laws of the outside world. Infact, they bored her. Her world consisted of criminals of every ilk, and false prophets using good people for their own gain. She, atleast, had the decency not to hide behind faked morality. The rules of her world were rigid and direct. Yes, no wicked business could be conducted on Hotel grounds, but this wasn't simply business. No... this kidnapping was entirely for pleasure. - The Author is autistic and may describe actions and sensations/situations relating to the autistic experience. I would appreciate no judgement on the way my mind works and what calms my sensory issues (e.g complete bodily pressure such as hugging, being wholly enveloped by someone's arms.)
