By the way, the story contains a lot of No More Heroes/Bayonetta influences, and some Devil May Cry ones earlier on. Also, please keep in mind that while I do try to write the characters canon to the show as accurately as I can, I try to write them with a bit more sincerity, as if they're people instead of cartoon ponies. Then again, take my attempt at a more realistic portrayal of the characters with a grain of salt. I'm still an amateur writer after all, so whether or not the characters do actually act like more realistic versions of the characters from the show is up to you to judge. All non-original characters, locations and concepts (eg, Fluttershy, Equestria, Elements of Harmony) belong to Hasbro.

From the very first time she pulled the lever on the Pegasus Device, the little black and purple Pegasus was happy. She stayed that way for a long time. Four years to be exact. She grew from a weak little filly, into a strong young adult, but growing up comes with a price. Growing up has made this mare realize that she had gotten her revenge long ago. She no longer needed the comfort of killing the ponies that had been so cruel to her before. In fact, she no longer wanted it. She had finally realized that what she was doing was morbid and wrong. So you may ask, why am I telling you this? Why do you care? Well, I felt that this story needed to be told. It's the story of the pony who DID escape.
