Alona and Ryde have grown up in the Rin forest, awaiting the day they would be apprenticed. Now as this day finally comes, they arrive at the city of the Rini people to find it in ruins. Now, on the run and desperate to find who was behind the attack, they arrive at the city of Umbra- the ancient enemies of the Rini people. Ellalael is a world bound to the stars through light and magic. Its races are varied and gifted with unique magics of their own. Ruled by the mysterious and benevolent Starkites from their city that only appears at night under the stars, it is a peaceful and beautiful world. The quest is to find a powerful gem in the Deep Forest, and then to use what powers it bestowed on them to delve into the Mountain Barrier. There, they will have to find the Light to dispel the growing Darkness within. Though this qest is honorable and righteous, the dangers that await them are exponentially worse than they could ever imagine. Whether they can save the world depends on whether they can survive themselves. Mature rating for blood, gore and depictions of violence. TW: mentions of drunkards and beer, mention of physical abuses, a description of trypophobia, claustrophobia, and other phobias, and descriptions of nasty cryptids. There is no depictions or allusions of sex, no f-bombs, or drug abuse. This story was started when I was in seventh grade. I finished the original when I was a senior in high school. Displeased with the finished product, I began to rewrite it here, starting June 2015, then again in 2020. I am quite satisfied with the result, and am sure this will be the final edition. This isn't the first book of the series, but there's no spoilers for 'The World is Larger than it Seems', so you can start on this one. The story is far from finished, however, and I hope to eventually finish the series.Concluida
