Maya Hart, a reserved and shy girl, moves to her aunt's house in Brooklyn and studies in Brooktown High after the death of her parents. In school ,Maya has a hard time finding friends and feels invisible and unwelcome.
She stumbles upon a popular group called The Big Three with Riley Matthews, Farkle Minkus, and Lucas Friar. This group has the looks, the smarts and the charm. Just like any other teenage group. But will they let Maya in? Will Maya let herself in?
Will Maya have a high school she'll never forget? Or will she be invisible as she thinks she is?
