They should be false, and to 16-year-old Sophie Claire, it's never crossed her mind that they aren't. And for some reason, she's began to feel a certain affinity for Persephone, the Greek maiden who was kidnapped by Hades, the Lord of the Underworld, and forced into a marriage with him. This isn't some coincidence or freak dream, she later finds out from a host of strange individuals who claim they're from Olympus, the grandoise home of the gods themselves. She is actually a modern reincarnation of the goddess Persephone, and she's not the only one. A few of her classmates also happen to represent the gods and goddesses from popular Greek myths, and the fact that all of them are present means that something monumental is about to happen. Something like being the girl to change Persephone's future, to break the cycle of kidnapper and victim - all by passing a trial. It won't be simple, she knows, and she's not quite that eager to take it up, but from the moment she found out that she was Persephone, there was no way to back out. She should've known, however, that dealing with all powerful, immortal deities wasn't going to be easy. They've got a few secrets and personality flaws up their sleeves, and they could be deadly. More than deadly - murderous.

In an abusive relationship with his older brother and all his bad friends. That wasn't what he bargained for. But Atticus left that life behind; he was rebuilding a new apartment and doing the same with a new life. Well, trying. Atticus and his brother never got along after their parents left. He never spoke a word to his brother if it weren't mean and cruel, which was why a request to join in on his big brother's 'fun' and 'games' was a surprise to everyone, much less himself. But when things are taken way too far, Atticus is suddenly running and ends up at the doorstep of an unusual compound that sparks something in his instincts. Taking refuge away from the poison of others, Atticus knew that he couldn't hide forever, but he'd do anything to be left alone so he didn't have to hide anymore. Unfortunately he wasn't the only resident in this newly-found dwelling, because this newcomer wanted the exact same thing that he did.

She gets lost and finds a sort of gate that leads to a world full of monsters and creatures and falls through, fainting at when knights and warriors come. She wakes back up in a castle dungeon and is soon let out when she tells the king who she is and is deemed trustworthy. As she overhears a conversation that a war has been declared and that the evil king has declared war for power and land, Violet says that she'll go over and try to defeat the evil king, just so she can earn peoples' trust. Just when she thinks she's about to be murdered in a grimy alley, a man comes to her rescue, and who better than the friend of the prince and princess? Lord Evander has her attacker arrested and takes Aurora to his home, a large estate. Aurora settles in comfort in a safe new world and believes being on the other side everything is perfect, but again, she's wrong, and Gharet isn't finished with her. He goes as far to rope the church in and have her returned to him. She battles a tiring fight struggling to just have a peaceful life. Can she, or will she be trapped by Gharet forever?
