Family is what we create when home is only a distant memory.
This story was inspired by the prompt FAMILY, and I wrote it when I was up in Northern Ohio for a book event at a high school. While my friend/roommate was madly working on her third novel in the hotel, I propped up with pillows on the other bed and this story poured out of my head.
