Renesmee Cullen is isolated. Isolation can lead to runaways. Runaways can lead to being lost. Being lost leads to being found. Being found leads to a different story. A different story can lead to Renesmee meeting a peculiar vampire boy, whose eyes are just as dark as the secret he's hiding.

There he stood, in all of his glory, on top of an oak branch. One pale hand was on the oak tree trunk, and the wind whisked parts of his mocha hair into his right eye, which was an onyx color with a faint gold ring around the pupil. The way his pale lips pursed together and the way his face was looking down on hers, Renesmee felt inferior to this boy. He was on the verge of looking at Renesmee with disappointment, and even disgust.

Renesmee stared the boy straight into the eye, not blinking for a moment, even when her amber hair cut into her vision. His speed, his pale skin, his cold touch, his sharp eyes, and his enormous strength...this can only mean one thing.

"Who are you?" Renesmee asked, her voice low and dangerous. The boy heard this, no doubt about it. A sadistic smirk spread across his face.

"Why, I'm just like you," the boy said easily. "I'm a hybrid. Half human, half vampire."
