A short story that I had written for my English Coursework. The stimulus this year was 'Gothic' so I went for the typical Vampire genre, but with a twist! Hope you like it!

The Darkness of Beasts and Men
This is a short story about a young man and an incident he (somewhat) overcomes. This is a werewolf story, yes, but not a cliche-d one I hope, as it includes much more unhappiness and gore and such. There is no swearing, no nasty in-bed stuff, but there is gore. I mean, animal-mauling-blood-everywhere gore. Sorry, but in a werewolf reality, it would be rather dark and disturbing. If you do not like those things, please do not read for your own sake. Other than that, mild humor included. No idea if I'm going to write another story with the same sort of people or not, so I will get back to you later about that. Anyways, have fun and good luck. All characters' names and characteristics and fiction, I did not take them directly off somebody, so in cases of coincidence where you or someone you know looks like a character, my apologies, but I swear I didn't look up people and write their description. Peace was one thing. Oblivion is another thing. And in this world, there has never been peace. Humans have not just realized that, nor have the vampires. The humans may not be aware of their existence, but that's because they disguise themselves as one of them. Vampires have lived under the noses of humans for many centuries, blending in with their way of life. Though, things get way more complex than that. A whole Empire lies within the realm of vampires, and at the top of the class are purebloods. As the Empire begins to slowly crumble with the spread of underclass vampires, and especially after the murder of the King, the Queen takes over as ruler, and the head of the Hardsworth name. With her father gone, Layla looses all form of a family, especially since her mother does nothing but ridicules her, and her brother idolizes the woman she hates most in life. She has no one to turn to it seems in this world, so why does she stay? As Layla continues to live out her life. She learns what the vampire world has in store for her. Is she willing to live up to the task? WARNING! This story contains some violent scenes, sexual descriptions, and strong language.Complete

Ingrid has been the schools in-betweener, She is bad and good. Since she was born she lost her parents because her dad ran away and her mom gave Ingrid up for adoption. Then her foster family has taken care of her for the past 14 years. When she goes out to a party one night she walks down a dark alley and is brutally murrdered. She was lucky though because the moon goddess gave her one more chance in life. When her body is found the doctors and cops try everything and eventually after tending to her for three days she wakes up to make it look like she is okay. She is unhappy because she is an angel and werewolf. She wants to know why but no one will tell. So she lives her normal life and is happy. But when the schools bad boy admits he wants her she doesn't know what to do. She is alright but the big question is why did she give her a second chance to life, and that's what's she's going to find out.Complete
Werewolves and Vampires
Werewolves and Vampires is the story of, you guessed it, werewolves and vampires. Lila Silver had been a pretty normal girl until her sixteenth birthday and her dad decided to move her and her step-sister, leaving her old friends, old school and old life as a human behind. All of a sudden, she was thrust into the world of supernatural creatures without even having a say in the matter. Before she could even adjust to that bit of news, there were news reports about teenage girls going missing and showing up days later, drained of blood. After discovering one of the bodies, Lila suddenly becomes the new target of the killer. In between dealing with the secrets and dynamics of being a werewolf, the totally not cliche grudge between the vamps and werewolves, being the potential next murder victim of a mysterious and possibly non-human killer, and a hottie with fangs that she sometimes kind of wanted to make out with and other times wanted to rip his throat out, Lila was definitely going to have a totally normal, average life in this new town.Complete

But when Grace is in danger and Elijah has to take her to his house to keep her safe what will she discover? Why is she in danger, how long will she really have to be with him? Her Farther turned out to be a dead beat dad and with no brothers and sisters she had to handle and do everything on her own and that was just the beginning. Everything changed when she was just heading home bringing beer back to her dad . She found out things which were not meant like vampires. Being kidnapped by a vampire was not what Claire was excepting but he had to keep his secret and so did she. Some things are meant to be kept a secret.Complete
