After Vykens, mutated and soulless vampires killed my parents, I know they will come for me next. As an Aura, I can manipulate the light within me, the same ancient light Vykens feed on. I am a monster. I am a monster for leaving my father to die on that horrible day when they caught up to us. Maybe this is stupid to feel this way. I would have died either way. The only difference is dying in cowardice, for running away from your prison, or dying in pride, going down fighting for a noble cause, knowing that you changed something.
