I looked at the stone engraving on the wall which read:
1. I will never reveal myself or any other supernatural creature to the human species without the direct command of my ultimate superior. I understand that if necessary I must sacrifice my life for this secret.
2. I will not interbreed with other species unless they are my destined mate chosen by the moon goddess herself.
3. I will not unnecessarily use my abilities to kill my own or other species unless under the direct command of my ultimate superior.
Jenny nodded her head towards the engraving. "You are required to recite this wolf pact in front of our current Alpha and be granted admission to our pack."
"What happens if I don't?" I asked trying to take it all in.
"You just do. There is no don't. You might be banished or killed and you won't see Liam ever again."
I felt a strong pang in my chest. Even though I had no doubt in my mind that I would agree to their pact, the thought of losing Liam hurt too much.
"Alright, let's go meet your Alpha."
