Those were some of the last words I remember being said in my own language, before setting foot on Earth. That defined who I was, and who I would need to be in order to survive on this planet. My defiance of that calling is what got me arrested.
After escaping, I unlocked something in me. Something I had been keeping suppressed in my need to feel human. My Legacies, those were the true call to arms. They woke me from this lie I was telling myself, and they led me here.
They led me to become a leader, a protector, to the last of my kind. The only family I have left.
I'll defend them like my own family defended me.
