"Ahhh" I scream my head off as someone knocks on the door. I mean I'm pretty sure anyone would do the same if they were home alone with their best friend watching the part in the conjuring where the mom is locked in the basement at 1 in the morning. We were stuffing our faces with brownies and Oreo ice cream. Perks of our parents going on a week vacation and being home alone. Me and Sophie looked at each other and, I shouted "I'm not opening the door dibs!!", but unfortunately me and Sophie were having the same plan because she shouted at the same time, "You open it it's your house!!" "Nope you have to do it, you can't say dibs for things you don't want to do. That's our friendship oath" "Uhhhhhhh," I grumble getting of the couch and pausing the movie. I swung open the door "look person only a maniac would knock at this time" I say calmly, looking at my nails as if bored. I look up and see it's that sexy guy I punched at the mall with his 2 goonies. I widen my eyes in shock. OH SHIT

"Stop," the beast growled in my ear. The sound vibrated through my entire body. I froze for a heartbeat from pure shock. He lowered his head beside mine, breath warm against my neck. His voice was low, dangerous... fraying at the edges. "Aurora," he said, "if you run from me again, I will chase you. And I will catch you. His hold tightened as if proving the point. "I will always catch you." Tears spilled down my cheeks. "You're scaring me," I whispered, voice shaking. His breath hitched-barely, but enough that I felt it. For a moment, just a moment, the iron in his grip softened. His hand slid from my waist to my wrist, holding firm but no longer crushing. Then his other arm locked around my upper body, strong enough that escape was impossible. "Aurora," he said, his voice rough, "you cannot run from a bond like this." I shook my head violently. "I'm human! I'm not meant for- for you!" His chest rumbled behind me, a low, frustrated sound. "You are meant for me," he said, lips brushing the shell of my ear. "Fate does not make mistakes."
