I was drowning. I knew that. I also knew that the hands around my throat, pushing me deeper into the river water was the cause. What I didn't know was who was drowning me and why. It hurt thinking. It hurt to do anything right now. But I still screamed under the cold water and pushed the hands away as hard as I could. It didn't have much effect. I fought and fought, but I was getting weaker, and colder. The pain was overbearing. I couldn't breathe. It was the worst pain imaginable; and as the hands that were around my neck were forcibly ripped off by some unknown force, I slipped deeper into the depths of the river. My hair was straight above me along with my arms. My eyes were open and the water burned. A darkness started to pull me under, taking the pain away. I felt a small pressure around my waist, before the darkness completely consumed me. The last thing I remember is thinking, save me.

Darkness. That's all I saw complete and utter darkness. 'Maybe I'm dead' I thought 'Or blind'! I screamed at the top of my lungs. Five minutes later my mom is yelling at me to open my damn eyes. 'And the school says I'm smart' I think sarcastically.

" this all is your fucking fault" all of a sudden I was slammed against my locker,towering over me was my arch enemy 'Sam the Dam'. My head was pounding against the hard surface,I hissed in pain glaring straight to him. He was fuming with anger like a predator ready to attack his prey. He stretched his right hand to grab my neck and placed the left one on my shoulder to keep me still. He lowered his chin to my ear and snarled "you are fucking dead 'Meth' ,if I have a slightest clue of your involvement in this shit, I will hunt you down till your last breath". I was choking on air and my vision was a blur ,for a while I thought I was going to die .Mustering all the courage that I could have found, I yanked him away from me. Mean while I was gasping for the air, that dickhead had his usual cocky smirk. I aimed at him and broke his nose ,blood oozing in droplets" want to mess with me Sammy! , first of all clear your own shit, you son of a bitch! "with that I punched hard-on his lower abdomen while he was still holding his bleeding nose, I left the locker room with a sense of victory. I knew somewhere out there, my parents were worried sick. Somewhere out there, my friends wondered about me. I knew that a world like this wouldn't last forever, and I had to make it last. But I could always retell it.

I never believed it would end like this. I was just watching Netflix when the power went out, then before I knew it everyone was screaming, then the school began to shake and fell to the ground. Only three kids in my entire school were spared, four if you count me. I found a group of people heading to the east coast for a boat trip to a supposed safe haven in India. They died of disease days later. I found their bodies by the river. But I guess this is my life now, surviving with a scared boy, a pair of twins and trying to make it to the next day. Different groups of friends, living in the same time in different places. One common enemy. Faced with a threat like no other. "They came from the sky... giant cats, paws the size of trashcan lids. The fearsome roars... people were dying left and right." The Catwings, once again threatening the lives of people. Except this time, their goal is different. Who knew that this entire thing was caused by one person?

ACT I.

"I do. I do believe you." He cuts me off. "I'm sorry for accusing you I just, I don't know. At the time I thought it made sense." "Don't apologise. I deserved your outburst guilty or not. I deserved a lot more than that." I excuse honestly. "Why do you have to make this so hard?" He groans. "Sorry?" I ask. "You. You're making this difficult." "I didn't mean-" "That right there. Quit being a gentleman. You are making it so hard to hate you right now." "I-" I get cut off by his lips on mine. His hands hold onto either side of my face as he roughly kisses me. I close my eyes and let him lead. He falls into my lap and I wrap my hand around him and hold his hips.
