"Are you afraid of me?" She hissed sounding amused. I couldn't find my voice to reply, she was too close to me and had me glued to the spot. My body was shaking and I couldn't open my mouth to speak.

The dead woman was inches away from my face. The foul stench of her breath hit my nose. Terrified I moved backwards banging onto something.

"You are, are you not?" She tilted her head to the side, "thats good" she said pleased.

"Do you really think ignoring me is a great idea" she screamed. Her shrill voice speared through the silence.

"What do you want f-from me?"

"You know what I want"

"I can't kill anyone please dont make me do this please leave me alone"

"Not until you complete my task sweet sweet Valerie" she laughed in a menacing demonic voice sending shivers down my spine.

I sat shaking in the cold, glass box I have spent most my life in. As a child, I would be thrown in here whenever I disobeyed orders or whenever I complained of my head throbbing like the sound of a hammer smashing a wall. As I grew up, I spent more and more time in here learning the lessons - that were close to impossible to figure out - that would cause the walls to dissolve and set myself free. "Maybe if I help you learn your lesson, you can join me at the dance?" He calls out of the darkness once again, my body growing in anticipation to see his face but still he remained hidden. "You might be here for some time then." I sighed and rubbed my arms with a chill, catching some of my wounds that were still healing. I had the urge to scratch at my skin again but I held myself back. "Is that a yes to the dance?" He laughed causing me to laugh again, I took a step back from the glass and into the bright light of the box, that didn't seem to make a difference to the outside. "Well, I am dressed for it and you would be helping me....how could I say no?" I asked rhetorically and I felt a brief movement from behind my see through prison. "Shall I help you learn your lesson then?" A playful tone echoed out towards me and I tilted my head, holding back a smile. I nodded, I had guessed he could see me and by the small sigh of content I had been correct. "Or I could do this?" Before my eyes had caught up to the shift in the dust particles, a man stood behind the glass, now clearly visible to me. His dark hair fell over his eyes, high cheekbones pushed his eyes into slits as he smiled at me and not a flaw on his skin. Dressed in a black suit and tie with a grey shirt, his finger reached up to the glass. He touched it for half a second and it dissolved beneath his pressure and my eyes widened in shock. "Now may I escort you to the dance."

One of his hands slides underneath my dress and between my thighs, trying to separate them. I press them together harder, and see his facial expression-It was dark, he was clearly getting aggravated at my defiance. His fingernails start digging into my flesh, as I let out a weak sob. My voice seemed to have left me as the world around me became nothing. Was I going to accept this? Eyesight blurry, I become dizzy- intense nausea seeping in. I hope I throw up. I hope it disgusts him enough to leave me the hell alone. What if I get away and he follows me to my mom? What if he hurts her? As soon as the panic comes, it leaves. Had someone finally heard my screams and pleas for help? The old man is knocked off of my body in a blur, and I take this chance to crawl away from his hunched form; My bones aching from the hard, dirty floor. I reach the brick wall, and let myself fall limp on a patch of ivy. I suddenly feel tired, my energy was draining. I feel a heating sensation warming up my chest- spreading like a wildfire; My veins turn a glowing citrus, orange color- but it quickly goes away. Did I see that correctly? Although, the weak feeling doesn't go away. I shut my eyes momentarily, only to reopen them to fill my curiosity. I don't see much because of the black blobs coating my vision. The veins on my arms have went back to their normal blue, as if I hadn't seen them turn any odd color at all. Maybe I was hallucinating. I was only able to witness one thing, and I had a sinking feeling that I probably shouldn't have watched. I was able to spot out a masculine figure grab the old man by his neck, and what I saw next shocked me to my deepest core. His eyes turn an intense silky red as his fangs come out quickly and he gives an evil, intimidating smile. "I'm gonna enjoy this." He states in his low guttural voice as he reaches forward and rips the old man's liver out.

There are worse things than death. ___ "What is wrong with you?" I seethed. She had my back against the wall, pinning me down so I couldn't move. She was much stronger than me, even when I used my strength to get out of her embrace. I held her gaze and I knew that she was gone. There wasn't an ounce of goodness left in her body. She laughed at my question. Of course, I knew what was wrong with her. But I have to find a way to get her back. "What is wrong with me? Ha, nothing sweetheart." she told me with a smile on her face. "I'm just having a little fun." "Yeah, and fun for you is killing innocents," I growled. "Oh, I hate to say this to you but they aren't all innocent." I finally broke free of her and I dropped her to the floor. I held her down with both arms while I was on top of her. All she did was give me a smile. An eerie smile that made a shiver run down my spine. "I should kill you for what you've done," I whispered. "I should make you pay." "Oh, but Sebastian, you won't," she said. "You know why? Because at the end of the day I'm still me, and you will never hurt me, will you?" I hated that she was right. I couldn't kill her. My mind told me that it would be the best to do it but my heart told me otherwise. I mentally cursed at myself for letting this happen to her. "Elora, I know you're still in there." I said. She was still on the ground, but she was not resisting which seemed odd. "She died a long time ago," she said finally. "Alongside her love for you." ___ Book Two in the "From Death to Life" Trilogy #13 in Bloodlust

Book 1 of "Bloodlust" series. "I'm going to give you one chance to answer me. Where is she?" She asked, looking into my eyes. I looked back at her, terrified. "I swear that I don't know what you're talking about!" I answered, starting to shiver. She smiled wickedly. "You know, the only reason I sent my brother away was because I wanted to interrogate you myself. Whatever he would have done to you doesn't even begin to compare with what I'm going to do to you if you don't answer me. So... One more time. Where. Is. She?" She said, in a condescending tone, as if she was explaining something to a child. "Look, if you want to kill me go ahead. I don't know anything." I said, looking into her eyes and faking the confidence that I definitely didn't have. She looked at me, cocking her head to the side, and for a few seconds I though she wouldn't to anything. My relief didn't last though as she laughed coldly and looked at me with a half smile. Her laughter was beautiful, even though it sent shivers down my spine. It was the same with her eyes and smile. All of which showed me that she wasn't kidding. "Where did you get the necklace?" She asked. I froze, was that what that was all about? I didn't know! "I told you before, my dad left it to me, I swear." I said truthfully. She looked at me for a few seconds, thinking. I couldn't shake the feeling that everything about her was cold. "Well, even if you don't know anything, she'll come for you. And I will have the answers I want." She said with indifference before adding huskily in my ear. "And... I think we can have some fun together while you stay. Don't you agree?" She said as she laughed again and gave me her signature smile. Everything about her showed me that she wanted to hurt me and even more. She wanted me, in every way possible. Rated M(Mature content): Contains triggering content, read at your own risk.
