Ace. That's what people called her, a very young assassin at the age of 10. She's being taken by the Scarlette Organization at the age of 8. Surprised? Well face it. She's what they labeled ace among ace or better an elite because of her skills. Pretty cool right? Well she's not some average girl like the other kids as she'd been raised with training different type of martial arts and wielding the deathly weapons. While the other kids at same age of her were raised with playing doll or having fun with their friend, Ace didn't bother instead filled her childhood with lots of difficult and harsh training in order to become strong. She would nonstop practicing and grew stronger everyday. She aimed to avenge for her family and that's what she lived for; revenge. Being a professional assassin, she's always remained poker face and never show her emotion to other. It's started because of her bad memory in past that made her changed. What will happen when she's been asked to protect the heir of the Amerald throne; prince Alexander De'Vousher Conner from being targetted by the unknown people who hated the royal family. But Ace hesitated to return to where she came from. All the memory of her past were playing in her mind. She's afraid if people recognized her (although the first rule of assassin is to hide your identity; must wear a mask). She's once came from the noble family; her parents were the Duke and Duchess of Amerald and that's mean she's well known to the Amerald people as Lady Ann Lilith Blance. What's she afraid the most is if she has to face-to-face with the prince, her childhood friend. "Your eyes reminded me of someone" - Prince Alexander. "And who it might be?" - Ace. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ The lovely story cover was made by @JinAhUnnie ;)

The daughter of Persinia has been alone all her life, tucked away in a forgotten corner of the imperial palace with her sole maid as she spends her days reading books and attending a mandatory ball once in a while. Life is quiet for the most part...that is, until one day, she stumbles upon a book in the library that predicts the future! And this one says she will die when a lost princess shows up in a few years and all of her siblings will kill her to protect their new, favorite sister! Now our princess realizes that if she wants to live, she has to be strong enough to do everything herself - wield aura to counter dark ones, wield magic to protect herself from evil wizards, and know alchemy to protect herself from a poison-happy consort of the emperor keen on making sure her son is the last one standing as heir to the throne. In an empire waging an eternal war against the darkness just to exist, our princess finds herself picking up new skills, new friends, new enemies, and a lot more importance in the palace than before all while trying to just make herself unkillable so she can live silently reading books. Will she be able to unravel all the mysteries of the world that she wants to, or will all of the tasks the emperor asks of her and the troubles she creates for herself keep her from existing in peace? Will she be able to escape the palace before the "silver lady" of that book appears, or is her death inevitable? Well...Mephie doesn't really care, to be honest. She just wants everyone to stop bugging her so she can finally finish the latest book she's been reading...especially those annoying knights...and, well, everyone else too.
