A Stolen Life
The only goal in life is to stay alive. Think about it, it's true. Some people just can't accomplish it while others barely pass with each passing day and a small percent excel at accomplishing it. For some people it's an easy task and they can look to other things, but for others it is a daily struggle. For me and my family it's a daily struggle. My name is Rose Loera and I am 19 years old. I am three months away from being forced into the military like every other unemployed Bronze in the world. Bronzes are those in the world who bleed that color, have no special powers, and are forced to lead their lives in squalor. Bronze lives in the dirt while the Silvers rule the nation with their amazing powers. Their powers are the only reason Bronzes still live like we do, we're too scared. But I'm not scared of much, I'm a thief, fear could get me killed. But one night I stole from the wrong person, I stole from the prince. Yeah see that wasn't really the problem, he gave me money and even rewarded me. What went wrong was what happened later, when I and every noble in my country discovered that I, a Bronze, have the power of a Silver, actually my power isn't even something they have heard of.
