The oldest of four daughters, Charlotte is mostly a shy and reserved girl who keeps to herself. But when Charlotte meets William McCaden, an injured soldier on leave whom she'd briefly met when she was seventeen, she finds herself falling inexplicably in love. As much as I would like to chalk it all up to being a sign of the times (the very backwards 1940s), I understand now how I should have handled this particular time period with more tact and discretion. Especially with how I recklessly portrayed the horrific racial climate of the 1940s American South. Again, I am very sorry and can wholeheartedly promise you that any later drafts of Yours Truly would 100% rework all of these themes and contexts with the utmost of consideration towards the communities they affect directly. Betty Cooper is the perfect girl next door with perfect grades and always styled perfectly you would say. Or is she really? She was, once, but after the death of her father it was like loosing her mom too, even if she was still there. But one day her moms behaviour changed, only for Betty to find out that her mom had replaced dad with a new lover. And not only this but her lover had a son, around Betty's age. And he is devilishly handsome. So what happens when the two actually can't stand eachother but have to live with eachother?

One day she meets the demon who haunts her dreams, but he turns out to be the complete opposite of that demon. Feelings get involved, can he help her with her nightmares? Can he win her heart in the process? Who knows what will come true next.
