After seemingly dying, nineteen-year-old Penny Chance awakes to discover a new life in a strange land known as Windmill. However, while the citizens are friendly and the town is accepting, something darker lurks around the seemingly warm atmosphere. When faced with a second chance, Penny discovers that she is needs to get out of Windmill before being sucked up in the realm's monotony.
