"I am not what you think I am!" I screamed at him, backing further away.

"Then what? For pete's sake Ari! I've known you since ages!" He screamed back, trying to hold my hand.

"You don't know me enough like you think you do." I started. "Just go away! I don't wanna hurt you!" I screamed at him, pleading.

"No! What is it? What is it you're afraid to say? Just spit it out Arianna! What is it?!" He pushed through.

"I'm a demon." I whispered but it was loud enough for him to hear and I ran towards the school gate.

Prologue I've always believed that silence was safety. Silence doesn't betray. It doesn't scream when you flinch. It doesn't ask why you can't be touched, or why your hands shake when someone comes too close. For years, it was just me and Lola in this house. Our little world-quiet, tucked away, untouched. Safe. I knew the rules. Don't talk to strangers. Don't trust anyone. Don't go out. Don't let the past find you. And I followed them. Faithfully. Until he came. A man with cold and mysterious eyes. A man with warm hands he never offered. A man who looked at me like he'd seen me break-and still stayed. He didn't belong. Not in my world of closed windows and muted voices. Not with the shadows I kept locked behind my ribs. But he moved in anyway. Without warning. Without permission. And when I tried to ask why-Lola just smiled. "For your protection," she said. I told myself not to care. I told myself he'd leave eventually. That whatever arrangement he had with Lola wasn't my business. But curiosity has a way of gnawing at silence. And one quiet afternoon-when I went to clean Lola's room before she came home from her trip- I found something. Hidden behind old bills in a rusted tin box I had no right to open. Inside it, a paper that made the world tilt sideways. Lola's medical records. Dates. Diagnoses. Proof that she was sick. That she'd been hiding it. And beneath it all- A thick, yellowing envelope with my full name on it. Certificate of Marriage His name. My name. And a date I don't remember. I never wore a dress. Never walked down an aisle. Never said "I do." But the signature at the bottom was mine. And the man I was supposedly married to- Was the stranger I'd spent the last few weeks trying to push out of my house. A stranger who, somehow... was already mine?

SYMPATHY FOR THE DEVIL (COMPLETED)

55 parts Complete Mature

I was the bad guy. The monster that people hate. I was the reason why some agents died in the line of duty. I became the hated mole in my own agency. I turned my back to my own family because I thought I was going to die. I made a deal with the devil until those people started to collect their share. Until I became one of them. I became the devil himself. The once member of an elite team became the cold-blooded killer. I joined those syndicates that I used to hunt. I've got nothing to lose. All I care about back then was to get the money that I can leave for my family the moment I die. But life has a way of fucking things up. Teodoro Castro died, but Martin Darke was born. With a different face, a different body, I had no family to return to. I had to live a different life away from them. I needed to forget them. People helped me to get my second chance. A chance to make things right. The redemption that I was looking for was at the palm of my hands. And I am going to kill anyone who will comes in my way to get the redemption that I deserve. Even if she was the woman that made me fall in love again. --------------------- Note. This is written in Filipino and English language Another note: 18+. Dark. Gruesome. Read at your own risk.
