This book is about a girl named McKenna who runs away because she has a horrible house hold and abusive crude parents. Yet, when she runs away she realizes something. Find out what that something is in "The Runaway". She also has to go through many things at school and try to hide everything from her classmates, teachers, and friends. Also find out how she deals with this. Also, even though McKenna has to go through a lot of stuff there is still humor and other categories in this book. Hope you enjoy! For those of you who cant tell, my title says "I'm gonna SMILE like nothings wrong, PRETEND like everything's all right, ACT like its all perfect, even though inside it really HURTS." -The Runaway

Everest decided to leave, to escape, but only for the three months she could before returning home and going to college; which was the last thing she wanted, to be where everything happened two years beforehand. Kane went through something devastating, but had no one to go to. He pretended things were perfectly fine, but when he heard Everest was going away for the summer, he found his way of escaping, and asked his soccer teammate, if he could come. Both running away from something, not wanting to look back, all they wanted was to forget the past and never return, but they knew sooner or a later, they had to, so they decided to make the most of it. { This book is cliché and extremely dramatic, if you don't like that, don't read it. }
