He had a hard year, his mom cheating on his dad, he, his mom, and his moms new boyfriend moving, leaving the one friend he had behind, and let's not forget starting a new school in some place that seems foreign to him compared to where he lived in San Francisco. Frank is sure things can get any worse and wants everything to become normal. Then, enter Gerard. Gerard is part of rare kind of human called The linked. The linked people are people who's life lines are connect to a mythical creature. Frank meets Gerard one day when he accidentally stumbles across Gerard's linked creature. Gerard tells Frank all about The Linked people and the problems their facing with one of their own trying to kill them all off.
