This is a fanfic about Meredith Grey's childhood was even worse. Where Thatcher stays, but drinks too much and harms Mer and Ellis. Ellis ends up getting Alzheimer's still and nobody has ever told Meredith they loved her. 10 years later she finally moves out of the house and jumped when she's on her way to her new job as a surgical intern. When she finally gets fixed up, she meets an amazing man who turns out to be her boss, but being her boss isn't the only problem she has... will she be able to trust him after what has happened to her?
