That is until Delaney's father, the one that put them in that prison, dies. Now they're back, and both the girls and the town have changed immensely.

Yes, Salvatore as in the Salvatore brothers Damon and Stefan. When she was 16 years old, back in 1864, her brothers met a girl named Katherine Pierce who was a vampire.
