The World's Fault

I'm never here. And yet I'm right beside you. I could be breathing on your neck right this second and you wouldn't know. To the people of this earth, I do not exist. I am a feature of legend. The one thing people have to hope for. To believe in. Society collapsed a long, long time ago. There was no one left to save it. I am the only thing they have left to hold onto. I've saved things from an ant to a human being. I can see things no one else can. But now the world is ending. Ending to the point where there is nothing left to save. But you know what I'm going to do? I'm going to save it. Because that is what I do.
