There has been a recent outbreak of a virus unknown to man, turning people into rotting, man-eating things - eventually to be called Z's by citizens. Daniel Warren, Reed Leachman, and Blake McCabe are closer than close. When they encounter a Z, they decide to vacate their comfortable living situation in Chadron, Nebraska. Upon entering the dangerous, murderous outside world, they have to overcome a number of obstacles in order to survive.

Pilar and her cousin Nina is from Argentina.. they have teamet up with their other cousin Emilia and her canadian boyfriend Matt, taking a roadtrip through America.. They stop at Wyldwood near Austin in Texas to visit Matt's cousin Nick and his friends.. but while they are there the corona virus hits the US and they decide to stay through the lock down. Pilar is not happy.. she generally do not like men after some really bad experiences and well Wyldwood has a lot of men.. some of them or especially one, starting to get under her skin. Nina is looking for love, but she also have skeletons in her closet.. is her new found love for Matt's cousin Nick enough to heal her. Emilia thought her and Matt was forever.. but things being uncovered and new people will rattle her life and make her question her decisions. When the dragon flu had come, it washed over the world killing most of the people of Terra. In an attempt to save their people, the government took them deep into the underground to a city constructed for emergencies. Twelve hundred and twenty one years later, the city was massive and thriving. Grant had a good job, comfortable home, and life in general offered little to complain about. After being ripped from his bed in the early morning by the city watch one morning, Grant found himself labeled as a trader and thrown down into the mines with mutants and criminals. Half mutant and half Terren, Zdana survived being crippled by the Capital City Council. Live in the mines was an everyday struggle. Starvation, fog, mine collapse were only a few of the things her people faced every day. When Grant came into the mines, he brought with him something Zdana had been seeking. The virus eats at the modified human brain, and soon the Unaltered begin to realise that the Altered are losing their minds. Home is no longer safe. Friends and family turn on one another, losing control of their own minds and bodies. The Unaltered aren't safe. Even if the virus isn't attacking them, the ones with the virus are.
