The Mages of Prophecy and their friends had been captured. As a last resort they transferred temporary ownership of the Books to the youngest member of their band, Devin Winters. 
Now alone and without allies, Devin must discover his friends' location and rescue them, but can he do it all by himself? 
Both Devin and his friends face hopeless situations with only the Prophecy acting as a beacon of hope. But Devin can only act as a vessel of the Prophecy for so long before it begins to eat away at his life-force. How long can Devin last until he returns ownership of the Prophecy back to the Mages of Prophecy and just how will this affect him both mentally and physically while controlling the powerful magic that lies dormant with him?
