The Redemption of Maximus
The world is screwed up place. Everyone in it just wants peace when it isn't promised to nobody. We work for ourselves to try to improve our ways of life only for someone who has more to take it. Everything is about monetary gain and if you don't got the green you better have a way to survive. Help wont come when you need it. There is no home and having shame is a simple thing of the past. We all tell people to have hope. We tell them that if they work hard enough that change will eventually come and with that change they will find their happy ending. I've watched humans kill for that happy ending. I've committed murder when a tyrant thought to torture the only good thing in this world I have ever found in this fucked up place. Even when I tried to save it, I still lost it. Yeah, you heard right. I am no saint. This world is far from cupcake and t ,rainbows and their isn't not one soul that could tell me different. I have had to fight to survive since the day I lii I broke out of an egg into this world. No one has ever known where I came from and from the moment I got here I've never know any kindness. I have always been the odd one out because I was different. I'm not talking different just because the color of my skin. I'm talking different because when I get well and truly pissed I turn into a vicious monster. I'm not talking a kiddie monster like the one that creeps under your bed while you are sleeping or chooses to hide in your closet. I'm the type that you cant get away from. I travel through space and time. If I want you, I will have you. I have the powers of invisibility on my side, and you will never see me coming. There is no one that can catch me because I can poof away at the drop of a hat. If that doesn't scare you than the thousands of scars on my body and my size definitely will. They Call Me Daring
Let's get one thing straight here, I'm not a hero (I totally am, but I hear that these days being modest is in fashion or something, so I don't know man). I never planned on being a hero. It kind of just happened. Clark's the bigshot. The fame, the girls, the attention. Me? I'm just his loser younger brother. Another rich Trackerson kid, but that quiet one with no personality. I'm kidding. I'm funny. I promise. I have to be. The name's Liam. The apocalypse wasn't easy on anyone, but it was harder on some. We made it okay. My family lives in a mansion, and we basically run this town. I come from a line of famous zombie-hunters. Not me, though. I kind of suck. I was never supposed to get bitten. I'm running out of time. I'm turning, and it's happening fast. People are rising up, feuds are breaking out, the world is ending all over again; and it's all up to me to stop it. Or something. Crazy, right? Anyway, I've got to go. I guess the good part is, if they find out my secret-if they kill me-at least not many people are going to miss me. I just hope they get my name right. L-I-A-M. It's not hard. Northern Exposure: The divided
Without warning it began! The inevitable, I think it's fair to assume this book is not in my possession. This means I'm most likely dead. Most nights I wrestle the reason I have chosen to explain what happened, the things we did to each other, things no human being should witness. I Wright this simply to enlighten your poor soul and give you more of a chance than I had. A chance to survive what is most likely the brink of human extinction. Times are harder now and as the days go by we are less of our former selves. We have become husks floating around in a lost, desolate world. I look at this place and it still seems so alien to me, as the days roll into the nights I'm still unsure of how we got to this point. If you are reading this, you too are probably North and very much aware of what has happened to our beloved city. I feel a responsibility to inform you that you will most likely share the same fate as I have. I understand you may be wondering what's worse than death, trust me in this place death seems like a paradise compared. I do not know why I still feel so obligated to write this. To be honest most nights I think its just an escape from the madness, like a natural sedative it's the only way I can fall asleep in this hell. However I do need to clear my conscious and pay dividend for my demons. I need you to know what happened to me; I need you to know what we have become and what we are capable of. I need you to know why we have chosen to kill each other, why the smell of human flesh lingers in the air like slow roast pork on a Sunday afternoon. Why bodies litter our streets. Why things that seemed to be so impossible happen in front of our very own eyes. Why conformity i this place is the unreal ideas people live their lives by and why I was included into this group of youthful abominations. All of this might be irrelevant compared to what I am about to tell you.Terminé
MORITURI: Those About to Die
Man is born with two fears, and two fears only; the fear of falling and the fear of loud noises. Then they learn to fear each other, and rightfully so. Morituri follows a paramilitary group of survivors trying to restore order after a biological attack ravaged the US, turning man against man, and causing mass bloodshed across the world. But there's something, some one, in their midst that may be more dangerous to them than the virus itself. Throughout history, civilizations have prophesied of cataclysmic events that would wipe out the races of man. Modern movies and conspiracy theorists have for years warned of an apocalypse on the horizon, be it a war or economic collapse, or a spill of biological waste that contaminates and eradicates the populous. So engrained are we that there IS an apocalypse coming, a term has been devised for those getting ready to protect themselves and their families with any means necessary during this time. Preppers. Follow the preppers. And pray. There is something coming. Where do you fit in to the apocalypse? Are you the reason it's coming? Will it be your mistake? Or are you the one trying to save everyone else when it happens? Could you fight if you had to; could you kill? Look to Morituri. Find yourself in it. Because you're already there. We're all already there... Enter their world if you dare, but take with you your wits and any training you received in the military; you're going to need it. Vitium Cavum. Or, the better known 'Hollow Disease'. Five years ago, in an alternate universe, scientists were on the verge of creating the immortality drug. Only, somehow, it escaped in the early stages of development, when everyone was working to rid of all the negative side effects. Those 'side effects' practically rip a person's soul away from them. Hence the name 'Hollow' Disease, because this virus makes whoever is affected an empty shell with no soul. Now, only a handful of people around the world are currently unaffected by this disease. Some of them had their families torn apart, some lost their friends, and some lost the person they were in love with. And that's where our story begins; in the year 2019, five years after Hollow Disease nearly destroyed the entire world. guys please don't read this anymore lmao i write totally differently now💋 _________________ In a future where humans are genetically modified -- 'altered' -- at the age of sixteen, the world has been, until now, a safe place. Without changing a person's personality, undergoing the Alteration perfects their appearance, IQ, and even their immunity to diseases. No human passes the age of sixteen without being Altered. In the blink of an eye, things change. An ominous message is sent out to all of those below the age of sixteen, providing precise instructions that suggest they flee. Simultaneously, a deadly virus starts to spread all about the world, attacking only the Altered -- every human over the age of sixteen. The virus eats at the modified human brain, and soon the Unaltered begin to realise that the Altered are losing their minds. Home is no longer safe. Friends and family turn on one another, losing control of their own minds and bodies. The Unaltered aren't safe. Even if the virus isn't attacking them, the ones with the virus are. Set on a pristine, futuristic Earth, this is the apocalypse like you've never seen it before. (Rated mature for graphic depictions of violence and mild language.) I've seen a lot, I've been through a lot, I've trained a lot, I've learned a lot... But nothing prepares me for what happens next. It's the year 4.5 billion and 33, I'm 20 years old now, 50% Esthercal and 50% Human, there's one thing that hasn't changed though, I'm still the Key to destruction or salvation of the earth, we visit little towns that of course are abandoned, in search of food. We've lost a lot ever since the destruction of the base. We've been preparing ourselves for the moment that they find us. We all know it would be horrible for them to find us, by them we mean Divites. But the worst part about every day...
