"Wolves are just animals!" Daniel's father shouted. "Without the collars they'd kill us in a heartbeat!"
"You're not listening to me! They're only mad that we've enslaved them!" Daniel argued.
"No, I'm listening, what you're saying is impossible! Werewolves are mindless beasts, Daniel. They don't care if you've been nice to them. The second you give them an ounce of freedom they'll spill your blood!" His father turned to the authorities who had Alex pinned to the ground with a gun pointed to his head. "Take him away and put him down. Better yet give him to the arena so I can try to get some money back my son stupidly threw away." 
"Dad! No!"
