Not everything is rainbows and butterflies and I know that. I do. But can you blame me if I held on to the idea that maybe, just maybe, for once in my life, things would actually turn out the way I want it to?

"Here's your change, miss. Have a nice day!" The cashier girl said to me.

I smiled back at her and grab the groceries on my way out. It takes approximately twenty minutes to get home from Walmart and I honestly can't wait 'till I hit the bed after a long day at the studio.

After fifteen minutes of walking down the streets, I finally spot my house at a distance. Everything was going great until I started feeling breathless.

I swore under my breathe when I felt my entire body weaken. In merely seconds, I unconsciously drop the two bags of can goods and chips on the floor and stumble sideways till I reach the side of a wall.

"Miss, are you alright?” I heard a passerby ask when he noticed my useless attempts in steadying my breath.

I vaguely nodded but fumble in my bag, searching for my inhaler.

"Where are you?” I muttered, panicking as I felt my chest tighten.

“Can I help you miss? What are you looking for?” I heard the same man ask worriedly.

“I…I…” I tried to answer him but failed and instead, felt myself fall and collapse on the cold, hard floor.
