Abbie's mother disappeared shortly after giving birth to her only child. This left her father to worry over his child every waking second and poor Abagaile to have no freedom. It's almost as if she doesn't feel loved. When a boy with scraggly hair and a hooded cape shows up at her window, Abbie takes his hand and he then explains to her that he needs her help saving his home. Neverland.
