Alice Crawford lives in the small quiet town of Mexia Texas with her parents, and her three brothers. She goes to a small high school and has a small group of friends.
Life for Alice may be small and quiet, but it is far from normal.
Alice is apart of a special group of human beings called The Gifted. The Gifted are basically people with special gifts that separate them from the average person. Although the Gifted are very few, they are very powerful.
The Gifted are ruled by their own government called the Guild. And it is because of The Guild that Alice's far from normal life gets turned upside down.
Now she must join her friends, her overprotective older brother, and a cocky, attractive shape shifter, to find and bring back her twin brothers who were taken by The Guild. She will go through heartbreak, danger, a whole lot of tears and a whole lot of romance.
That doesn't sound like your average teenage girl now does it?
