Thus, they left Remalna-city years before Iris was born. Their resentment and dislike of the Renselaeus family traveled with them. In their minds, it was the Renselaeuses who caused their fall from "grace" and "good-standing." Only a minor detail that no one truly liked them in the first place. Iris wished she could ask her friends their opinions but can't and eventually decides for a second life for her friends and herself. Unexpectedly Death doesn't allow her to ask any questions and Iris finds herself being born as a little black panther cub in a cave to a seemingly human woman who doesn't speak, eats raw meat and clearly doesn't know how to properly care for Iris even though it's clear that the woman loves her. Seeing her situation makes her anxious about the situation of her three best friends and she could only hope and pray that their new start to life is going better than hers.

She became friends with the Pevensie children, whom lived a couple houses away from her Aunt's, and they have become almost inseparable. Elizabeth gets swept away to a world called Narnia with the Pevensies, who have been there before. She has little knowledge of how to handle a sword, bow, or any weapon; yet she finds herself in the middle of a war. This is very niche and a story that tackles topics that I personally like to engage with, regarding trauma and healing. If you are interested in more complex topics and you do enjoy reading about the human psyche, with a more mature tone, fitting it's time, then I am really happy to take you with me through the story. But for everyone else I am sorry if you started this book with different expectations just to be hit with mature themes and I would really ask for you to not comment how disappointed you are in the direction I take the story bc this is really a story I intended to tell even if it's not for you personally. My english isn't perfect, and I apologize for phrasing things in a very clumsy way sometimes and I appreciate any help to better my writing and criticism regarding my writing. Honestly I really want to tell a story in the most captivating way and every reader is much needed feedback.
