We all know and love the story of Avatar the last Airbender, but what if things were a little different? What if Prince Zuko was the Avatar? This simple question throws the entire Avatar world for a spin. Let's start with a summary shall we? With the disappearance of the avatar after the death of Avatar Roku, the world watched in horror as 3 more fell after him. The airbenders were all wiped out and so went the air nomad avatar. The southern water tribe had all of its benders taken and killed, along with the avatar of water. The earth kingdom has been sacked for decades by an onslaught of firebenders. On the battlefield, the firelord himself slew the avatar in vicious combat. Now the world has all but lost hope as a new Avatar has yet to be discovered anywhere in the world. Many believe that the cycle has ended, others believe that there was no Avatar. A new one would rise from the unlikeliest place possible, from the throne room of the firelord himself. The banished prince, The royal firebender. Avatar Zuko.

A boy raised on the run with his mother, away from the Fire Nation. His father, a Fire bender who is head of a clan of killers, and his mother, a former Kyoshi Warrior. The boys mother was originally tasked with killing the clan's leader but ended up falling for him and bearing 2 children. Once the father found out about the mothers original plan, he had her chased out of the Fire Nation and into the Earth Kingdom while she was pregnant with their second child. After about 12 years of running, the women's second child, her son, disguised himself as his mother with her Kyoshi warrior garb and lead the chase of assassins away from his mother for two years where he eventually crosses paths with the Avatar. Along this journey, he learns the secrets of his heritage and how to become one of the most powerful earth benders in history.

Water. Earth. Fire. Air. Long ago, the four nations lived together in harmony. Then, everything changed when the Fire Nation attacked. Only the Avatar, master of all four elements, could stop them, but when the world needed him most, he vanished. The avatar kept balance in the world but with him gone the world became unbalanced, that is until it gave life to a new avatar but instead of continuing the cycle it went back. Only a select few know this as they are apart of a special group not tied to one nation, they are the White Lotus.

Book 1: Five years following the defeat of the Fire Nation, the world experiences an unprecedented age of peace and prosperity. All seems well; however, danger looms as the resurrection of old and new foes threaten to upset the balance and plunge the Four Nations into war once again.
