A young girl who goes by the name of Zoey is verbally abused by her newly made step mom. She also must deal with her two little step siblings the baby Trixie and the five year old brat Danny. Her father drinks every night and is never home. It is eventually to much for Zoey so she runs away and in the woods she stumbles across a groupie of surviverlist who claim her as the one from the prophecy. At first she is held hostage but they soon realize her as not a threat and make friends with the 16 year old. She becomes one of the survivalist and earns the way but has to be met by many challenges that can kill her.

She is also Caleb's "sister". Since Bradly is an ass towards both Ella and Caleb they decided to join forces and stick together. Bradley (Brad) is 16 and also has secrets. He doesn't have friends and is kinda shy. He has a hatred in his heart towards the world and no one knows why. Caleb is 14. He is like Ella's brother. They sick up for each other and do fun things together. He loves his dad and doesn't see the wrong in most things. One day Caleb tells Ella that Bradley and him are going on a trip with their dad and that she should go. She said yes, of course. Little did she know, what started out the shooting lessons in the middle of the woods would turn into their worst nightmare. Bradley has to reveal some secrets along with Ella and he has to start using his brotherly love and instinct to survive. What happens when Ella discover the biggest secret the boys have.
