A few years ago TOP's mother died. She died with a will given to TOP in a letter, but it letter was lost. TOP was suppose to marry his childhood friend, Hwang Sung Gi. His mother knew that both she and his childhood friend were gonna die soon.

Sung Gi had an unknown illness since she started high school, she kept it a secret from TOP for all the years she had known him. 

After debuting in the YG business as TOP of BigBang, they were each others lover. Happy as any couple could be. 

They were always smiles on Sung Gi's face hiding the pain and fact of her illness from anyone, the only person that knew was Ms. Choi.

They spent time together, cuddled together, took pictures of each other and did basically the things happy couples would do.
