I want to keep it as close to the original as possible but close some gaps like how he obtained the red pearl, how he found out the prince ascended etc... The dialogues are partly 1:1 from the book but with additional thoughts of Hua Cheng. This changes of course his character as he isn't as calm as he appears from Xie Lian's perspective. He is overthinking, is overwhelmed by his feelings sometimes and fangirling quite a lot. I mean...come on he is in love with his crush for so many years. And he also has some fantasies. So there will be some smut, but nothing too explicit. And no, I will not make him a pervert, he is not doing it with the statues.
